Administrative Assistant (Position Filled)

As a full-time Administrative Assistant, you will learn the qualified retirement plan business and support experienced plan administrators.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide assistance to Plan Administrators, Managers and Executives as needed
  • Create and assemble client correspondence packages, including Annual Administration, Distribution Request Forms, Government Filings, Beneficiary Designations, Service Agreements, Plan Termination Documents, Loans and Monthly Letters
  • Manage and update databases for digital files and client and contact information
  • Prepare IRS Forms 1099-R for entire client base
  • Assist your assigned Plan Administrators by screening phone calls, preparing letters, entering data into administration programs, and any other projects as needed
  • Maintain proposal tracking system
  • Execute new client intake procedures
  • Prepare Excel spreadsheets for existing clients and also proposals
  • Assist with mass mailing projects
  • Cover the responsibilities of the Receptionist during breaks, lunches and vacations, etc. including shipping and receiving and answering telephones
  • Assist  with any project or errand assigned by the Director of Operations and Executive Assistant as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative office experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), Adobe and ability to quickly learn business related computer systems. Experience with Laserfiche and Pension Reporter is a plus
  • Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
  • A positive attitude, a team player and an ability to work well with others
  • A willingness to be proactive and a good judgement in prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task

Junior Pension Administrator (Position Filled)

As a full-time entry-level Junior Pension Administrator, you will gain experience in the essential aspects of qualified retirement plans through training and mentoring with experienced pension administrators.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepare valuation reports/benefit certificates
  • Reconcile pension trust accounting
  • Review employer census and input data entry
  • Calculate benefit/cost calculations and participant loan calculations
  • Prepare IRS Forms
  • Review and calculate participant benefits
  • Prepare participant distribution forms
  • Prepare plan projections for clients’ tax planning
  • Communicate and maintains a positive and proactive relationship with clients and contacts
  • Continue education through webcasts and ASPPA exams

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business/Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field
  • Experience with Relius, Datair Pension Reporter and FT Williams benefits software is preferred

This part-time internship will provide you with an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of qualified retirement plans. We are flexible and accommodating with college student’s schedules. Position can lead to full-time internship and/or employment.

Pension Administrator (Now Hiring)

As a full-time Pension Administrator, you will have opportunities to work closely with in-house actuaries, maintain client relations and be part of a team of creative plan benefits experts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepare Annual Valuation packages for all assigned plans, including the following:
    • Annual Valuation Report
    • Annual Funding Notices
    • Letters for the Valuation package
    • Actuarial Certifications
    • IRS Form 5500 and related schedules
    • Additional IRS forms (ie. 5330, 8955-SSA, etc.) and schedules
    • PBGC Comprehensive Premium Filings
  • Plan design for existing and potential new clients
  • Review all reports, tax forms, notifications, disclosures, legal documents, etc. that are sent to the client or a government agency
  • Calculate projections and contribution requirements
  • Prepare distribution calculations and review distribution forms prepared for terminated employees
  • Research technical and regulatory issues related to client’s plans
  • Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with clients and contacts, including plan up keep and advising clients on technical and regulatory requirements
  • Continue education through webcasts and ASPPA exams
