Junior Pension Administrator

As a full-time entry-level Junior Pension Administrator, you will gain experience in the essential aspects of qualified retirement plans through training and mentoring with experienced pension administrators.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Reconcile pension trust accounting
  • Review, verify and log employer census data
  • Calculate benefit/cost calculations
  • Review, calculate and prepare participant benefits, distribution forms and loan calculations
  • Prepare valuation reports and benefit certificates
  • Prepare IRS forms and related schedules
  • Prepare plan projections for tax planning
  • Communicate with client and advisors

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business/Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field

Pension Administrator

As a full-time Pension Administrator, you will have opportunities to work closely with in-house actuaries, maintain client relations and be part of a team of creative plan benefits experts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepare Annual Valuations for all assigned plans
  • Prepare distribution calculations
  • Calculate contribution requirements
  • Prepare Actuarial Certifications
  • Prepare Form 5500 and related schedules
  • Prepare Annual Funding Notices
  • Prepare PBGC forms
  • Design and prepare new plan proposals
  • Review plan documents, submissions and terminations
  • Project Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution valuations
  • Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with clients and advisors
  • Advise and consult with clients on technical and regulatory requirements
  • Research technical and regulatory issues related to client’s plans

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business/Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration of qualified plans
  • Experience with Relius, Datair Pension Reporter and FT William benefits software is preferred
